# Sewlore Measurement Reference

## Signed Errors and Two Different Flags

A print comparison measures each side against the intended side: error = 100 × (measured − target) ÷ target. Negative means smaller; positive means larger. These signs describe inputs and do not identify a printer fault.

For a hypothetical 12 cm target, enter width 11.94 cm and height 12.03 cm. The table demonstrates two different questions. Each side is inside the default ±0.5% threshold, so withinTolerance is true. Their errors differ by 0.75 percentage points, so nonUniform is also true.

Do not discard the axis difference because both sides meet the individual threshold. The implementation permits small floating-point slack at exact boundaries. Follow the pattern’s tolerance and repeat real measurements before printing more pages.

`errorPercent = ((measured − target) ÷ target) × 100`

| Axis | Entered side (cm) | Scale | Signed error |
| -------- | ----------------- | ------- | ------------ |
| Width X | 11.94 | 99.5% | −0.5% |
| Height Y | 12.03 | 100.25% | +0.25% |
